Come see the original The Blair Witch Project in the place where it’s set and help out the Burkittsville Union Cemetery that appears in the film.
Yes, you read that correctly. For the first time ever, The Blair Witch Project will be screened in the town of Burkittsville, MD, where 24 years ago people came out in droves to see the small town suddenly made famous by a fictional legend.
We will be screening the film outdoors at the Burkittsville Ruritan. Please note that this will not be like a regular theatrical screening. We're aiming to preserve the feeling of an underground screening of a film that maybe you shouldn't really be seeing.
Gates open at 5:00PM and the film will start when the sun goes down at 8:15PM. Come early to meet and hang out with fellow fans, grab some dinner from the Boxcar Burgers food truck, and see the real Historic Village of Burkittsville.
Matt Blazi - Author of Eight Days in the Woods: The Making of the Blair Witch Project and host of The Blair Witch Experience (www.blairwitchexperience.com)

More surprises will be announced as we get closer to the event.
